Just to take time to enjoy your garden as stuff grows. And include flowers as well as veggies and fruit, as they bring in the insects that will pollinate everything.
Get a really comfy seat and a good gardening book that shows different plans and gives good advice that you can think about as your garden develops. Also a good recipe book to give you ideas of what to do come harvest time. Sit out in the good weather with those and a cool drink, and just enjoy.
I also enjoy going round old gardens that are open for public viewing. Even though some are really big, you will see some idea that you can include on a smaller scale in your own. And also see plants for sale there, that are not always available in modern garden centers.
All the best

Wow! You must live in a sunny place to plant all that, I would make sure that you give your plants plenty of sun and water. Make sure you have the plants properly spaced according to the tag or seed packet. If you don't mind using chemical fertilizers, I have heard that Miracle Grow works wonders. You just mix some in the watering can or attach a sprayer to your hose and it fertilizes your plants and makes it up to twice as big I would say. You might want to get some ladybugs, available at most garden stores, to keep away aphids. Pepper seeds (like red bell pepper seeds) keep away unwanted animals you just sprinkle some around the plants roots but not on them. Worms will help the soil, but I have had bad luck with them they just eat the plants. Compost bins are great too, or you can buy compost in a bag and it usually covers about 4 sq. ft. Hope I helped and good luck to you and your plants:)

There is never anything "wrong" in gardening, unless YOU don't like the result. Learn from your experiences. Keep a journal of successes and failures.
Carrots need good, deep, loose soil.
Tomatoes are heavy feeders.
Give the vines plenty of room and lots of sunshine. Watch for fungal problems on the melons and cucumbers. The leaves begin to look dull and get a "powdery" residue on them. It's bad. It kills them.
For the lettuce, you can sow seeds every couple of weeks and have fresh, young leaves for longer. They prefer cool weather and may fade in the hottest part of the summer. Seed again in fall for new baby lettuce.
You can also sow peas every couple of weeks for a longer harvesting period.

Mulch is your friend, use it and you will not have to water as often or pull as many weeds.
