2024 Landscape Garden Position

We are looking for highly motivated, positive, detail oriented and strong team members who are excited to learn about gardening!


Ideal candidates can do physically challenging work outdoors in the heat, rain or cold; can work alone or on a team, have an awareness of surroundings and job details; can work while they talk; and understand the importance of a positive work environment. 


Responsibilities:

  • Installs (Planting annuals & perennials)

  • Site preparation/ transplanting/ sod removal/deadheading spent blooms and foliage 

  • Irrigation install

  • Monitoring all sites for weeds, plant health, irrigation function

  • Landscape maintenance at job sites throughout season (spring, summer, fall cleanup)

  • Deliveries of soil, gravel or other materials to job sites

  • Drive and operate Zone 3 truck 

  • Ability to recognize plant health and needs of each garden site 

  • Communicate site needs, and track hours in shared excel schedule


Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 30 pounds repeatedly

  • Valid Drivers License (and transportation to get you to work)

  • Ability to take direction and stay on task

  • Work quickly and efficiently

  • Attentive to the care of zone 3 equipment and tools

  • Detail oriented

  • Communication skills and ability to transfer information to others

  • Social skills/ kindness

  • Team player


Compensation:

$16/hour start 

Employees who return for multiple seasons will receive an annual performance-based raise 


Work Schedule/details:

  • Work starts at 8:00am-5:00pm or with an unpaid 30-45 minute lunch break.

  • Show up ready to work.

Bring your own lunch and snacks, water, as well as supplies such as gloves, hat, sunscreen, clothes for all weather, etc.
